Trade Show Graphics & Printing — Common Questions
What file format should I supply for trade show graphics?
A print-ready PDF built at final size in CMYK is ideal. Include 0.5 inch bleed on all sides, keep logos and critical text at least two inches inside the visible edge, and supply vector artwork for type and logos wherever possible. We will review your file and flag problems before anything goes to press.
What resolution do large format trade show graphics need?
Resolution should be set against viewing distance, not a universal rule. For a backwall viewed from several feet away, 150 DPI at final size is the practical target. Graphics viewed at arm’s length — table throws, counter fronts, tabletop panels — benefit from higher. Scaling a low-resolution file up does not add detail, so start from the largest original you have.
Why do printed colors look different from my screen?
Screens emit light in RGB; print reflects it in CMYK, and the two gamuts do not fully overlap. Bright saturated blues, oranges, and greens shift the most. If exact brand color matters, supply Pantone references rather than screen values and request a proof before the full run.
Can you print replacement graphics for another manufacturer’s display?
Yes. We regularly produce replacement graphics for Abex, Featherlite, Nimlok, Nomadic, Skyline, and other systems. Give us the hardware or the model number so we can match the exact fit and finishing method.
How long does graphics production take?
Typically one to two weeks from final artwork approval for standard display graphics. Rush production is sometimes possible — tell us your show date at the outset, because it determines the entire schedule.
